Trend Micro Internet Security Pro will not scan

Quite simple really, I've had Trend Micro Internet Security Pro since it came out and previously is thas scanned fine.

But each time I've loaded up TMISP for a month, it has said "Scan needed" yet when I click to do a 'full system scan', it says "Now Scanning" but there is no pop-up window than usual.

I don't understand why this is happening, it was working perfectly before and I'm quite sure my PC isn't carrying any viruses, but it simply will not scan when asked.

Hi, for this kind of issue, you need to check the Trend Micro icon on your system tray. IS it located on the lower right of your computer, just near your clock. Because if it is not, then that is the problem. Trend Micro should be part of your startup so it can be able to load all the modules successfully during restart.

If you cannot see the icon of Trend Micro in your system tray you can do the steps below:

1. Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run.
2. Type msconfig and hit Ok.
3. Go to Startup Tab, look for UfseAgnt.exe (For XP) or Trend Micro with the command C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Internet Security\UfseAgnt.exe (For Vista) and check this item.
4. Click on Apply > Close > Restart.
5. After restart, check your Trend Micro on the system tray, if it is loading. After loading, open it and try to do a scan.

My trend micro can't scan in my vista computer recently. I found it is "off". However, I tried to clock "on", and it always is in "off" state. So
Pccntmon.exe does not work al all. Could you please
tell me how fix this problem?
