Except there's the shunning, the tithing, the science fiction, the seven years of crap in the basement to live off of, the contemporary con man who started it, the mysterious gold tablets no one has ever seen which are in an unknown language, and the magic underpants.
Yeah, just that one difference like you said...although your counting skills are a bit off tonight.
And you _still_ didn't address whether Mormons are crazy enough to take all the dogmatic beliefs literally, which most mainstream, non fundie xstains do not regarding their ancient myths.
Fundie xstains are similarly cult like, but without the secrecy.
You know what? I'm correct. Over and out, that's enough nuttiness on this topic.

Did you ever stop to think that I don't like over generalizations on what anyone believes? To address what you asked would give merit to your over generalization.
I do not state that "all christians believe the global myth literally happened," because they don't. Each has varying degrees and explanations. Would it be fair to say "all christians want slavery because it says it's okay in their bible?" No, that would be unfair, Mormons are not inherently fundamentalists, no one is. Did you know there are gay Mormon wards across the country?
I fight against zealotry, for any religion, all others are of no consequence and should be allowed their beliefs. Unless that belief is imposed on others in a threatening way, then they are not zealots. Though this is not the strict definition, it is the socially accepted definition, and I'm going by it. Not all Mormons are dangerous, nor are all strict "believers," and the Mormon religion allows a lot of wiggle room to accommodate scientific advances, many Mormons prefer this aspect to their religion, and thus why they are growing in numbers.
Again, if not for the bigotry of the Mormon zealots, their religion is more tolerable than any of the other christian religions, with the exceptions of Catholics and Amish.
