Of course "Schipske" hasn't received an update on the Tesla location. Long Beach is out of the running. Schipske has been sumarily dismissed by the automaker. She is not relevant, and never was. The only thing Schipske supported was a giveaway of taxpayer dollars and sweetheart contracts detrimental to the city budget in a time of economic crisis. But what about potential "jobs" in Long Beach this may have brought? Hogwash. If a Long Beach resident has the skills Tesla is looking for, they will get hired. Gee, Downey is sooooo far from Long Beach.

Time to rid the City of Long Beach of ALL INCUMBENT POLITICIANS. Schipske is the first to go this April. Wake up voters!

Tesla is going to Downey. No surprise here. The City of Long Beach's attitude all but drove them to Downey. Thanks Mr. Mayor. How's that studio coming?

Nothing is accomplished until contracts are signed. Until then, it's all talk, which means nothing.

It's a done deal people. Move on. Downey trumps Long Beach. Deal with it!

One advantage that Downey has is that it is small and centralized. Just about everything the employees will need is pretty much in walking distance of the plant. Guerra is no longer mayor but if this plant goes to Downey he will definitely get much of the credit.

Seem like Tesla has everyone's pant at their ankles. The jobs sound nice but at what expense? To bad everyone is so desperate.

Way to go retarded politicians of Long Beach, first you screwed up and let Boeing ship 50,000 jobs overseas and now you let a potential 1500 slip through your fingers.

Yeah how's that deal to turn the site into a movie studio working out???

It's all B.S.
Tesla is going to hold Downey hostage... Everywhere needs jobs... Tesla can pick and choose.
The U.A.W.and Boeing have not delivered on their promises either. Long Beach was supposed to ensure that jobs would be replaced when Boeing closed DAC. Where are they...? All I see is a big mud hole. Long Beach better wake-up... no jobs... no housing market, no housing market... no consumer spending... no tax revenues etc.
