Not that it is pertinent to this forum, but that property once housed a auto parts mfr. called Vultee, then it manufactured airplane parts and the rest is history. If you travel east past Lakewood on Gardendale you will see the street that is still named Vultee. It was replaced by Lakewood Blvd. Downey was named for the founder John Gately Downey, who was once governor of California. Just a little history. Now that I have bored you to tears I will sign off.
