For the past 3-4 weeks employees are being layed off ,sent home,or asked if they want the next day off as a union shop they toy with us most of the time they will come up and ask ya want the day off and only lay off 5 that week the day after they lay off they ask more if they want the day off they want 21 people out of the plant monday ... No body wants to be layed off but but if they are gonna do it do it for god sakes so these people can at least collect a unemployment check people cant live on 2 days a week pay, we have bills too

Tenneco is cutting non-production labor at many plants including the Angola facility. Unfortunately, that includes at least part of the quality assurance staff. This will eventually lead to more problems and complaints, and possibly loss of customers. Angola is running 16 hours a day with no quality oversight at all. If this is the trend at all Tenneco facilities it will mean a general lowering of product quality.

No quality people..........are you serious? How in the blazes does that work. That means you all better be binging on all tens, then right? Thats alot of pressure on you all. Non labor..........does that mean paper pushers also.

at the Paragould plant they made some of us stay home today. But indirect labor (Team Leaders) get to go in and set on their butts and do nothing like normal. Explain that for me.

They tell us, that they have so much time and money invested in the "team leaders", that they are protected, no matter how high, their clock number is.I have to censor my thoughts on that statement!!!!!!!Talk about a wasted effort,

I have to say that in the past 6 months or so sinced the team lead positions have reaally taken hold I must say they are earning their money. They have saved time , on finding parts and keeping ahead of changes in the sch. during the shift. Our team lead is not afraid to step in and work where ever she is needed. Things have come a long ways, and we are continuing to improve our plant, and doing what we can to save jobs.

Maybe I am glad they closed our plant here in Cozad. I miss my job everyday but if it is as bad as these posts make it sound I am glad I have a FT job now. It took 2 years and I am not making what I did, but at least I know I will be working 40 hours.
