Getting fired for a funny video that has nothing to do with Best Buy is dump. I would stop buying from them if he did get fired. Media would be the reason he gets fired instead of leaving his place of employment out or him for not using an alias.

Just because he made a video mocking people is no reason to suspend or even fire him. People make tons of videos each day mocking people and things, yet they dont lose their jobs. If it wasnt done on company time then why should it matter?

Agreed. When I go into Best Buy to look at any product, they will tell me their opinion. They've told me "Don't buy that tv, it's crap, you want this one" Under that logic, they should be fired as well!

Bad move Best Buy, also heard Sprint contacted BB pissed about it. Bad move on you Sprint! The more viral of the 2 videos does an amazing job of bashing the iPhone and promoting EVO. You could have just ignored it and benefited.

Well, just prior to this "Independence Day" weekend, I see someone was canned for his "freedom of expression" and his constitutional right to "free speech".

Figures. With everything manufactured in freakin' China nowadays, we can expect more loss of freedom
(liberty). Let's see-smoking (US GOV'T NANNY), mandatory seatbelts (US GOV'T NANNY), yep-it's happening alright.

We're not independent of Jack. We're so deep in debt, no jobs, few exports, MOSTLY Chinese imports,
and we borrow from THEM now. We use Middle-Eastern oil,-- WHO IN THE HELL ARE WE INDEPENDENT OF ANYWAY????

And then someone loses his job because the higher echelon at Best Buy eats bowls of s**t for breakfast.

This kid should print all of these posts and keep them. It was STUPID for Best Buy to fire him. He never mentioned the company name. But, Best Buy is STUPID!

Really, there is nothing saying Best buy on this, Best Buy is grabbing free ad time, fox 4 send them a bill. And if this kid is fired he has a law suit, can Best Buy say deep pockets. Now who's laughing? We are, because Best Buy will have to be owned by some kid schooling for graphic design on his own time. Yes Kid I have a lawyer for you!!!!!! Call Me

I'm sure Best buy is not paying this kid on his own personal time off the clock, key word off the clock, this is not the first screw job from Best buy. Trust me if he is not fired for this he will be fired for a missed time punch or something stupid like that, because thats how they do you

You are an idiot. FREEDOM OF SPEECH has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS. Freedom of speech is more of a political thing meaning you can speak against the gov't and such without fear of imprisonment.

I think both KS and MO are a "right to work state" -(?)_ People can get fired for any reason. Brown hair - Fired. Fat - Fired. Blue eyes - Fired. Making videos - fired.

Almost right. Kansas is a 'right to work' state, Missouri is not. Check the link for information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right-to-work_la...

This kid has talent. My bestfriend has the new EVO and I have the new iPhone. No product is perfect and both have their flaws and these videos just point that out in a humorous and sarcastic manner. As for Best Buy, anyone that shops there is an idiot. Every product they sell is overpriced compared to all of their competitors. Furthermore, last I knew their employees were making commission which is why they call one TV crap and another the greatest TV ever, because the greatest TV ever costs an extra $1000. Their employees are just calculating $1000 times 10%. I'm all about sales folk being paid commission but not a 17 year old kid that only knows a TV is cool and bigger is better. Most of them don't know the actual technology between HD and non-HD TV's or LCD versus LED, 720i vs 720p or better yet, 1080i vs 1080p.

Dear Best Buy
I find it hard to believe you would suspend such a talented individual. The ability to make others laugh and have an enjoyable time is a quality not respected enough within America. I understand this could be possibly embarrassing since Apple just allowed you to become an authorized dealer. But as we all no Apple is having major problems with their new phone. Steve Job's even on the announcement couldn't get the phone to work properly. This guy never stated the company in which he works for and any person within customer service understands the problems he is discussing. I think honestly there is no right by Best Buy to terminate employment, or suspend without pay. This individual has the legal right to sue for lost wages and "emotional distress." During the videos I failed to hear any mention of the company he works for so the only slander that is being done is against his reputation as an employee.

Dear Best buy- Will not spend my money with you.

Dear Sprint- Switching to Verizon.

The best way to get at the corporation is to take away what they value the most...their money.

Haven't been to BP for several weeks either. Think these people don't listen to the public? Sure they do....when you stop spending your money with them they get the message loud and clear.

The video is hilarious and shows the average consumer wouldn't know the difference between an iPhone and a Tracfone. The "suits" at Best Buy need to lighten up.
