Jekyll deal sadly a steal
“I just don't think that the rent abatement they proposed to give these people is justified”
The scent wafting from Jekyll Island these days isn't just from the bracing ocean spray or the fragrance of windswept pine trees drifting across its mostly unspoiled beaches. via Atlanta Journal-Constitution

I read an article about the slowdown in tourism while staying on the island with my wife and three grandchildren.
The people at the restaurants we visited were rude and we were made to feel as though we were a bother.
None were child-friendly and other than Blackbeard's, the food was bad.
We won't be back any time soon.

I am glad someone mentioned how rude the people are on Jekyll. The residents there look at tourists like they are freaks. We quit taking out family there three years ago, and we only live about an hour from it.
