NAV2008 fails to create call back manager

I spent 5 hours with Symantec techs in my machine trying to get live update to work always with the same result. Removed NAV2008 with SymNRT and downloaded there latest and reinstalled - same result - uninstalled liveupdate and downloaded latest and installed same result. Running WinXP Pro and suspect it has some sort of security issue going - most Symantec tools had trouble running in normal startup mode. They used Intelligent Updater to get it current but I dont want to do that every time.

i have had the same problem. i spent too much time with symantec techs on this problem, without any good results.

i am still waiting for a reply from Norton regarding this issue. they can't solve it and i want a refund and they have been ignoring my request to have a refund.
Come on norton, u gotta do better than this kind of pathetic service.

That service link is a joke. Firtly, Liveupdate doesn't exist on my list of programs, then when I try to upload it, their system tells me I need to log in as an administrator, which I already am! Total bollocks program, which I guess I am now stuck with as it came with my Dell.
