I also have had many troubles with this program. First they say your request is denied due to a missing receipt or something. Totally bogus. Then they make the card so difficult to use they want you to give up. I am going to switch to a new antivirus provider. These guys are decptive crooks. Any class action lawyers out there. This might be a good one.

I am having issues using the last bit of balance left on the card. I was able to check the balance, I have money left on the card but when I swipe the card at stores, it won't work. I called symantec customer service and went to the website but there's no one to complain to...

Rebate credit card is junk. system won't let you checkyor balance. They should have just sent a check and be done with it. Won't renew norton again.267726

These rebate cards are a load of crap. they dont tell you that if you dont use them they charge you $3 a month till it's depleted. I had to call and argue with them to get it reloaded. Then I tried to use this card in Home Depot and Rona and it was not accepted. I Finally got the LCBO to accept it only to find I was charged another $6 in charges. I am not sure if these charges are legal in Canada. I will never fall for this again with Symantec.

Best way to beat it is to buy something that cost more than the card is worth. Use it all up in one fell swoop. Trying to get a balance on a partially used card is like pulling hen's teeth...you can't find the right place to go...they want you to sign up for another credit card...YIPES.

I received my 2 Norton rebate cards,$80 card paid.

The $25 card was rejected several times.

$25 rebate card has never yielded one cent.

This has happened in earlier years. Office Depot made up the difference in the past but they should not have to do that. Symantec should stand behind its rebate policies as well as its products.

Balance check tel.# on back of card is a fax. Can't get an online "chat".

It is always a struggle to get my rebates from Norton - Have multiple computers. Long time user but this makes me want to use Kim Komando's recommended freebies or McAfee. Very unhappy customer- Nita

Tried to check the balance with no luck. Tried to use the card on 4/15 and was told it didn't work. Tried again on 4/16 and it paid $2 and I was told that was all that was left. This was a $20 rebate card from Norton. I learned here from the other comments that after 6 months you get charged a $3 fee each month until the balance is used up. So that's where my $18 went! What a rip-off. Would not accept another one of this type card. If this is what Norton offers I'll look elsewhere.

Nearly ALL rebate cards (not just Symantec) are rip-offs. Hard to use, hard to access your balance, hard to get customer service, various rip-off fees, and nearly impossible to use the entire card value. Keep that in mind when the vendor promotes a rebate... DON'T expect to get the full value of the promised rebate, but DO expect hassles.
