I downloaded version 2.0 of Norton 360 and now cannot reliably access the internet. Symantec goes out of its way NOT to support their customers. Why hasn't anyone initiated a class action suit against this lame company?

Report it to your credit card company and they should be able to refund it?

Norton 360 version 2 has in the last three days suddenly started to deny me access to well used sites saying the there is a problem with the sites security certificate. It also gives the message that the microsofts site is off line and it cannot therefore verify the certificate.
Is this a virus?

We just uploaded Norton 360 and now it's stopped all access to Windows Live Messenger and Bebo. We've tried setting websites to "safe" but nothing seems to work.
Any ideas?

Ok, I am in the middle of installing norton 360 but it won't finish because I can't get Internet connection. But the lack of Internet connection isn't from my Internet served because I have Internet on my iPod, I use same Internet for computer (wireless). I have tried changing firewall settings and it still isn't working. Any ideas...?? Please

Since installing Norton 360 and receiving live updates I can not access the internet. I tried all suggestions fron Symantec's support area to no avail. Any ideas?
Thanks, Mike
Mike, I also had problems accessing the internet after installing Norton 360, and I have the latest version. After all else failed I turned off the pc and then unplugged it for about a minute, after that, I was able to get internet access. Hope this helps.

I have just spent the last 2.5 Hrs. On the phone/Internet w? Symantec-Norton and they too are unable to figure out my issue.(I've had 360 for 5.5months wth NO problems) but playeyd around with some other software firewalls and now my system is unable to connect with Norton Installed. Deleating it and I'm fine for the Internet. With it...NO way.Symanec can not figure it out. I might have deleated something with this shit program I used, but still...There must be (#1) a fire wall issue.(#2) Missing code/Damaged code,(due to anouther program I installed/UNINSTALLED)
STAY away from "MALWAREBYTES" virus programs in conjuntion W/NORTON.....they don't get along with each other.Norton swears IT(NORTON 360)is the only protection you ever need.
So far no luck.
I might just buy anouther harddreive and start all over again. It's(Possibly) corrupted.

I see that most of these comments where posted a couple years ago.....whats going on is you have a Malware virus on your computer and its causing some major issues with Norton and your internet connection. You need to get that removed 1) by yourself if you are good at programming or have someone else do it. 2) then install
Norton 360. I had a tech do it at a very expensive cost $130....takes about 1 hr. and they do it remotely...pain in the ass but I'm not into coding.

They're not all from a couple of years ago. Yesterday I removed McAfee and installed Norton 360. The drive was externally scanned for viruses. After the 360 install I cannot access the internet. What is more aggravating than the problem is the lack of clarity in the "documentation". Why is there not a simple off/on switch in the Firewall? Why is there not straightforward documentation for getting started, troubleshooting and setting options.

I was searching for technical how-to, not ranting, but I can understand why the ranting is going on.

Right now, this purchase feels like a mistake.

Even after uninstalling, the internet didn't work for me. I had to get a new internet card! And when I tried installing norton again, it made the other card useless too.

I have Norton 360, I cannot access the internet unless I already had the site in my favorites.
I cannot access my Norton account, no updates which Microsoft is trying to help me with.
So far no luck!!!!!!!
I do not know if I have a Windows 7 problem or a Norton problem or an HP problem as this has been going on since I purchased the HP notebook.
I am so very frustrated I'd like to throw it out a window but cannot afford to.
I thought I'd ask here if anyone can help me.

I bought my current laptop 3 years ago for university, and installed Norton along with its purchase. A few weeks ago after paying for my third subscription, Norton 360 offered an update which failed spectacularly. I can neither remove Norton nor access the internet anymore (I'm on my sister's laptop). I have NO idea what to do. I can't get the removol tool without the internet, and from what I've seen here, Sym just don't give a damn! My laptop is now effectively useless.

Please, am I better off buying a new laptop than trying to fix the damage they have done?
