SINCE INSTALLING 360 ON JULY 9TH I'VE HAD ALL SORTS OF PROBLEMS. HAVE BEEN 'REIMBURSED' 2 YEAR CONTRACT AND RECTIFICATION PHONE CALL CHARGES - YET TO BE CONFIRMED. HAD YOUR PROBLEM AFTER UPDATE DOWN LOAD OIN AUGUST. RECTIFIED THIS BY CARRYING OUT A RESTORE COMMAND TO AN EARLIER DATE.

Norton 360 seems to be more sophiscated and more problematic! We baught it thinking we can use it on more then one PC. My sister installed it first causing her problems signing in to windows live messenger. Some problems with firewall even thought the proxy settings for it was on ALLOW. Once removed her windows live messenger is fine. I then thought it may be a coincidence so I tried it on mine and same problem. Called their "technical" team, and they just kept asking me to remove and reinstall it and then blames microsoft for the problem! Its strange the problem only occurs when ive for their crap software installed?!
I could not get a refund, no one helped and ended up with a huge phone bill and had to buy another software elsewhere! Drove me to tears!

Trying for the second time to install this product as it keeps asking to be reinstalled just to make the back-up product work. And that is after a full and successful back-up onto an exterior hard-drive. This is just so much fun... not!

The following helped me fix my auto-protect turning off. As long as you have the Product key you can redownload Norton 360 off the internet. It recommends to use the Norton Removal tool to completely remove any Norton products.

1. This link will guide you through fixing it, just answer the questions.
Follow this Link:

Norton 360 is a terrible product. I was on tech support call for over on hour, after my laptop stopped connecting to the internet.(My internet connect is fine on this computer - same connection). I remove the product then was told since the product was removed, it wasn't there responsibility anymore that I was unable to connect to the internet.

I am pursuing a refund, now have a useless laptop and leave for a trip in 5 hours for work...

Hope someone can help me. Long saga but basically a year ago my Symantec sub came up for renewal. I had used Symantec for many years, no probs. They suggested that instead of renewing I should purchase Norton 360, which I did. For a whole month I was unable to get it to work, emails batting to and fro from Tech support just kept saying the same things which were no help at all. Finally I emailed them, telling them I was going to uninstall it (which I did and have been happy with AVG ever since) and asking for a rebate. Of course I didn't get one, but so desperate I was prepared to cut my losses. Now, one year on, they have automatically renewed my subscription! I have complained, but no reply of course. Does anyone here have a contact email or something that actually might have a human being at the end who can sort things out - otherwise I will be paying every year for a crap product I don't even have for the rest of my life!
Yours hopefully
Joss
