More trouble seems to be looming for Depuy apart from the defective ASR hip implants. Aside from facing thousands of lawsuits claiming to be compensated for having been implanted with the defective device, a rival device manufacturer--Howmedica has sued DePuy allegedly for infringing on the firm's patent for a surgical implant used in hip replacements. As if that is not enough, I read on this website that nearly 20 lawsuits are filed everyday against DePuy and its mother company Johnson & Johnson with regards to the DePuy hip replacement recall.

You should know about DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., which has been recently facing various lawsuits filed by law firms in UK, US and Australia, in behalf of patients who underwent hip replacement operations. If you think that you might have received a defective hip device that caused you hip replacement problems, you should immediately contact your doctor, even if you are not experiencing pain or discomfort. The webpage discusses this matter in a more detailed manner.

There certainly are a lot of problems going on about healthcare devices lately. Another medical tool that has spurred lawsuits from distressed women all over United States and the rest of the world is the vaginal mesh. This promising device has been proven to work with other patients who have genital prolapse and stress incontinence. However, it has been found out that it does not work all the time, and certain factors need to be considered before deciding on going through with an implantation of these kinds of devices.
