Artificial-Hip Makers Cut Doctor Consulting Pay After Settlement

The five largest manufacturers of artificial hips and knees scaled back payments to orthopedic surgeons after settling a 2007 U.S. lawsuit that charged them with providing kickbacks, according to a report.

I think they need to focus more on the designs of their implants for them to avoid these lawsuits. I saw several news on the television about the problems with these hip implants and I have even read about them online ins several blogs and at http://www.smithandnephewhiplawsuit.com/ . Patients need to be wise on what implants are being used in their operation to avoid the several complications.
