"However, Saudi Arabians pay just $.45 per gallon."

Many of our elected officials don't even pay that little!

I think the federal government should do the same thing, since they have been dragging their feet on this matter since 1974.

It is amazing, the Saudis are only paying $.45, meanwhile our troops are paying over $3 a gallon in Iraq. Something needs to change and it needs to change soon.

These gas prices are ridiculous! Between filling up the tank and feeding your family, it's hard to say what costs more! The cost of living keeps going up, but the pay salaries stay the same. How are people supposed to manage?

Our country has some of the richest coal deposits in the world - as you may know you can make oil from coal liquidfication. Some scientists predict 700 years (not a typo!) worth of oil exist in our coal mines throughout the country. Now you ask so if that's true why aren't we using it ...A) environmentists will probably freak (coal liquification isn't a very "clean" process) and B) its pretty expensive, so its not worth it normally...but with gas prices now its starting to be worth the expense (before during "normal" days when fuel was in the $2 -$3 range gas was MUCH cheaper than the coal route).

I don't understand how they keep comparing our prices to other european countries, are dollar is not even worth 1/2 as much as theirs. But yet they want us to pay their prices.

The only way to fix this mess is every one has to stick to there guns
No body go to work shut the whole country down Nothing moves
Then only then our fine government will step in
This is getting to be way out of control now they are saying 5 bucks a gal by the 4th of July We all have to step up to the plate people as long as we continue to pay they will
Continue to rise prices

If they would like to kill our economy then they are doing a fantastic job. It's gotten to a point where you have to think twice about leaving the house or whether to put the item you want to buy back on the shelf because you know you're going to have to fill up the tank soon(my car gets 32mpg)...It's ridiculous! I don't understand why alternative forms of energy haven't been mainstream sooner if they knew this was going to happen. And what is the truth anyway??? Is there a gas shortage or isn't? The story changes every week! Our family owns a small business and being on the front lines of the economy I can safely that the economy is in some serious trouble!
