Burlingame Safeway gets planning commission endorsement
At long last, the city's planners have recommended approval for a new Safeway. The Burlingame Planning Commission voted unanimously Monday to advise the City Council to approve a new two-story, 45,645-square-foot grocery store on the corner of Howard Avenue and El Camino Real.

Congratulations to the last planning commissioners and council members who voted out Plan A years ago.
Congratulations to this planning commissioners, working group and others who have worked so hard on a better plan (including the fyi's discussed last night).
We will get a new Safeway in my lifetime!

I hope it looks like the Safeway in Carmel California, but I am thankful it has finally been approved!
