that dont make any sense the yellow truck should be whatching in front of him what was he doing looking at his hood i always look for ahead as i can see and i think yellow should be the one whos responsible for the acciednt because he didnt look ahead i know the swift back out but he couldnt go foward so he had to back up to try to turn it to get in the rest area. it just shows how people are just want to blame the other person.

Another swift transport junkie. hope that bozo never drives a truck again. You have to be on drugs to be backing into a highway not to mention he didn't realize he couldn't make the turn before he tried too .. damn druggies stay home or go to work for swift if no one will hire you. Watch all swift trucks everywhere carefully 50% of them are high on something.. LOSERS

Are you kidding me? That driver did something very stupid. Although many accidents have contributing factors, failing a post-accident drug screen is NOT a good thing, especially involving a fatality accident. That said, individual drivers must be accountable for their actions. Although I dislike Swift management and would never drive for them,I don't think all their drivers are unsafe. The company's training academy-read about the Millington,TN CDL-Mill in another TOPIX article, leaves safe training in the dust.Like many CDL mills, they seek only to graduate as many people as possible with little-no regard for safety. If you want to defend unsafe practices, that's your opinion, although an idiotic one in my view! NO-I do not drive for Swift, although I drove 1.5yrs for MS-Carriers until Swift Merger 7 yrs ago-JAN 2002. I have been happily working at another company for the past 7yrs.Best move I made not staying as a Swiftie.NOTE I never attack Swift drivers, unless found to be at fault. If I drove DUI with my CDL and killed someone, I would expect you and everyone to attack me as unsafe. You must stand up as a professional driver and call out unsafe actions from other drivers that harm everyone's safety and damage company reputations. Unfortunately, you drive for a company that doesn't have the best reputation.I am not saying nor does it mean YOU are an unsafe driver! Read about another Swiftie who crashed into a diner: Trailer hits restaurant on TOPIX Swift Transportation blog.Unfortunately, he fell asleep at the wheel.Remember to mash on it but don't crash on it:) Drive safely driver!

Swift's fleet is filled with drivers just like in the article. I don't doubt that many more incidents such as this will get their doors chained shut, releasing many inexperienced drivers into the industry.
