Destroyed division 026

The new program started at Swift dissimulated the transcon division. Several teams are exasperated to what they have done to us. We worked very hard to climb to the top. With only a few months left to pay off our truck I suddenly feel like a company driver. We were running coast to coast with great miles, now we can't get a trip over 1200 miles. I am so upset and no one seems to have any answers even our DM and fleet managers are seeing the I'll effects of what Swift has done with the new divisions. Everyone is complaining and there seems to be no help for owner op teams. I have no idea what we are going to do, we are at a loss.

Richie-you need to not only help your owner-ops who would be better off in the first place leased to a 100% O/O company, like Landstar or Dart, better committed to their Owner-Ops success unlike Swift.Your total lack of business support has undoubtedly led to many business failures of otherwise diligent and dedicated drivers who trusted Swift. Not I-far better choices exist for owner-operators besides Swift.I would encourage any existing Swift company drivers to strongly consider remaining as company drivers and not be fooled into thinking you will be making huge $$$.It is a business first and foremost for both Swift and its owner-ops.Unrelated to Owner-Ops: how in the hell do you or any other training company get away with making folks driver trainers with only 6-12Mos TOTAL experience? The inexperienced leading the even more inexperienced AKA BLIND LEADING THE BLIND.Great safety policy?
Swift may still be good for learning the basics.However,it should re-emphasize safe training procedures by only allowing more experienced drivers (5+YRS) or at least maybe 4YRS MIN to train newbies.You may as well have students train each other like CRST.
You could run cheaply with student teams,thereby further undercutting your O/O teams complaining of only 1200MIS/WK.That's some abysmal mileage-even for solo company drivers.Can you say REPO-DEPOT Mr/Ms Swift Owner Operator team??? Hope Richie,if it really is him on TOPIX, not some web impersonator,speaks with Jerry to ramp up your mileage so you don't lose your truck/credit history.You may have to satisfy that lease and re-consider team company driver jobs at other companies that value teams like US Xpress or many other companies with far better rep than Swift.

we have been at swift for 3 1/2 years we were makeing good money tilll they stop o26 trans con we need it back and they need to get these east coast planners heads right me and my friance drive team when we get out east the treat us like solo drivers offing us short miles we have a trk to pay for it seems to me they don"t care for us owner operators richard we need you to fix this problem need miles we are coast to coast team not there local people haul this sort run then maybe we will give you something better unfair
