Since the 'government' now owns 5% of the bank, does that not mean 'I' do? Am 'I' not the 'government? With that in mind 'I' think I'll stop in and get my reduced loan on 'my' terms since 'I' am now a part owner of the bank! Sound Ridiculous? Of course it does. It is as ridiculous as this letter to the editor by Mr.Reuter. How self-serving and condescending to the taxpayers of this country to take money 'you don't need' but will still take and use at your own will. In excahnge for what? A 5% intrest in a bank that has to take bailout money? That makes me feel really good how 'our' tax dollars are being used.

Susquehanna Bank may be in good shape but their customer service is awful. I was a Community Bank customer who was treated like crap by Susquehanna when Susquehanna took over Community. I gave Susquehanna several months but they were awful as far as service charges and customer service people that didn't know what they were talking about. I now bank at Commerce where customer service is great. I would have been glad to see Susquehanna fail.

And what exactly was so awful? Do you find it appropriate to sum up the entire bank by your experiences with ONE branch?

I strongly believe Susquehanna Bank provides the absolute best customer service out there. We are always promptly greeted by the employees that work there because they truly want to help you with whatever it is you come in the bank for. They go the extra mile all the time.

I have had accounts with SUSQ for about 8 years. Their service, courtesy, and just plain helpfulness has been wonderful. SUSQ is now in hard times (like so many other banks). I wish SUSQ and its employees the best for the future.
The bank's common stock is now a bargain on the stock exchange. It is still a quality institution compared with some of the largest companies on the exchange.

customer sevice is not that great.i think the way they treat their long term employees and all their layoffs have a lot to do with it.

I've had mixed results regarding Susquehanna customer service. What I certainly DON'T like about this bank is the dropping services and not informing their customers, especially regarding their treatment of those long term customers and those older individuals. I suppose it's impossible to ask for straightforwardness in ANY bank in the country-they all seem out to claim their right to our money either through Congress or treatment of customers.

If Susquehanna is in such good shape, why are other institutions holding checks drawn on Susquehanna 48-72 hours before making funds available?

Used to be a 24 hour hold, if that.
