I don't understand why there are two service plazas on the NE extension.
And if they keep tearing them down none of them will reach historic status, now will they?

Why is this an more important use of our road taxes, than fixing the highways themselves?

What is it with people and historical status? We're not talking about the building where they signed the Declaration of Independence. It's a fast food joint and toilet. If the new facilities offers better service, I say raze it.
I do agree however, that the money spent on this project is better served by fixing the roads and not taking nearly a year to do it.
