Hamptons nightclub owner jailed on outstanding warrant

More class struggle drawing eyeballs (including mine!!!). This is a legal technicality, it sounds like- but because it's in the Hamptons, it's news.

Why do some people think that business crimes only involve "legal technicalities?" Perhaps business crimes like Bernie Madoff's Ponzi scheme only had to do with "legal technicalities," as well.

This has nothing to do with Madoff unless you want to bring in the class struggle, which it does not sound like you do.

It is a warrant served for a tax dispute in another state. That does not qualify as a business crime (but I am not a legal expert so maybe someone will correct me).

When that blondie ran over those guys with the SUV a few years back, and yelled "w-h-ite t-r-ash" now THAT was a crime, full of Hamptons class action and conflict.

IIRC, that was Lizzie Grubman, and that's ah, pronounced "groob-", not "grub-"...
