its not the doctors or emergency medical care the patients receive, its' the nurses aides and the nurses who are NOT doing their jobs. a patient usually waits for up to 10-15 minutes for a nurse/nurses aide to respond to a call, by that time alot of things can happen, and forget about getting your pills on time, the person in charge of handing out the medicine does so at his convenience and not the patients......these people need to be watched and even if your report them to another nurse/supervisor nothing gets done, the patient is at their mercy.....just shameful.
the hospitals need to hire more american's that speak the language and actually care about our american citizens in the hospital, not hire the "cheap" work force to save a buck.

NCMC is the Arm Pit of America. Wellafre hospital in East Meadow. (( It does not help Nassau County Medical Center is located in East Meadow or AKA Little India,, towel head live all around East meadow, blwing flutes and flying magic carpets. ))

Sorry I got off the topic, but NCMC is the most depressing hospital, you go in and there are Crack Heads, Wic & Wellfare moms, people with no insurance waiting to be served in this hospital. Not one normal working class person goes to NCMC for service. I am affrade of my wallet being stolen or the crack head daddy waitng o/s to rob me and steel my car. NCMC should be knocked down. It is a loosing hospital

I know that most nurses at Southside hosp. in Bay Shore are overworked and understaffed. I have spent more time at this hospital then half of the nurses do. If you don't have someone who loves you enough to spend every moment with you and make sure you get the care you need, well then, you're as good as dead in this hospital. Do not blame the staff, it's not their fault. Truthfully, I don't know where the buck stops, but I know it's morally wrong and I pray that everyone should have someone.

There is a shortage of nurses and aids. Alot of these nurse and aids
are slow and lazy.
Just don't get sick and go to the Franklin General Hospital, you may not come out alive.

My life was saved by Dr. Carlisi at New Island Hospital in Bethpage, and I received GREAT CARE from the doctors and staff at St. Francis Hospital in Port Washington.
My birthday is today, and I wouldn't be here, were it not for the care I received at both places.
Hats off and appreciation to both places!

The help wanted ads always have pages of health care opportunities buy I think they go unanswered because of low salaries. I don't think many people want to enter this field and this is why we see so many foreigners in these positions.

I happen to work at a local hospital and yes we are short staffed. It is not the Nurses fault or the Aides, its the hospitals for not wanting to pay for another person on the floor. Patients have to have patients and understand we cant be 2 places at once.And if your really unhappy write a letter to the state,because writing one to the supervisor is getting you no where..........

NCMC is the ghetto of all hospitals. Wellfare, Wic, Homeless, unempolyed, lazy, drung druggies are waiting in line at the Nassau County Medical Center. I am more affriad of getting robbed or stabbed when I go to NCMC,, plus no doctor can speak english there.
