Its also too bad this isnt Above confluence park where all the illegals take their kids to play in the river because they dont spend their money at the water parks...The contamination starts at the chatfield dog park .And gets worse at confluence park where all the kids are using it for a toilet as they play. People dont realize the many waste treatment plants before confluence park..This river is contaminated long before confluence park. I cant believe all the illegals take their kids to play in the river when its contaminated..I remember last year when there was an Ecoli warning in the river at the park..Illegals still ignored the By lingual signs and still let their kids swim..They even interviewed a anchor mom and she said she couldnt read the bilingual sign because she couldn't read and she said she didnt see anything wrong with the water anyway!!!!!!! No BS. She couldnt read but was an expert on water quality.. The sand creek leak is way down stream from all these other pollution dumping companies. Even after commerce city the river is glowing. This is just one of many leaks into the river.

Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, known for his tough and controversial stances on illegal immigration, endorsed three term Texas Governor Rick Perry for the Republican presidential nomination on Tuesday morning during a campaign swing with Mr. Perry through New Hampshire.

The self-titled America's Toughest Sheriff, who famously re-instituted chain gangs in 1995 and has also been a major supporter of his state's controversial SB1070 immigration law, said that Perry has done more to combat illegal immigration along the U.S. border then any of the other candidates.

Sheriff Arpaio knows the struggle border states face as Washington politicians and bureaucrats fail time and again to properly secure our nation's southern boundary with Mexico.

- Rick Perry, GOP Presidential Hopeful
"I'm endorsing Rick Perry because we need a tough-on-crime president who will champion and fund full-time border security operations from Brownsville to San Diego," Arpaio said. "Governor Perry has a superior border security record and plan to make our border and our nation safer."

WASHINGTON — The Environmental Protection Agency is emerging as a favorite target of the Republican presidential candidates, who portray it as the very symbol of a heavy-handed regulatory commission.

So if the GOP wins the election I guess we will drink sewer water laced with gasoline.

GOP attacks on EPA ignore the probem

Dutifully following their Tea Party scripts, most of the Republican presidential candidates have declared war on the Environmental Protection Agency. They claim that the economy is being smothered by regulations designed to keep our air and water safe.

No iota of evidence is being offered, and in fact the record profits of big energy companies indicate a spectacular lack of suffering.
But listen to Rep. Michele Bachmann’s promise to an Iowa crowd about one of her first presidential priorities:“I guarantee you the EPA will have doors locked and lights turned off, and they will only be about conservation. It will be a new day and a new sheriff in Washington, D.C.”

Granted, Bachmann is a witless parrot who has no chance — absolutely zero chance of being elected to the White House. But her hatred of the EPA is shared by Gov. Rick Perry.

Like Bachmann, Perry refuses to accept that global warming is real. He launched a lawsuit to stop the EPA from enacting rules to limit greenhouse gasses from oil refineries, power plants and other industrial sources.

Perry likes to whine that “EPA regulations are killing jobs all across America,” a statement that draws more cheers in his native state than in the rest of the country. In fact, polls show that a large majority of Americans are worried about air and water pollution, and hold a positive view of the EPA.

So you think closing the doors to the E.P.A. will decrease the amount of pollution in our water and air?

Everything about me and what I stand for HUH... I happen to be a Democrat believe in what the party stands for and will stand up to the likes of you any day.

Again show me ONE piece of Legislation ANY Republican introduced that was for the working class American and not big business and multi-million dollar corporations since Dwight D. Eisenhower.

I have happened to have lived in many different parts of this country for your information so visiting old towns and catching up on events using topix is not trolling IDIOT!

I'am not a radical anything I happen to think and use logic something you happen to have an absence of.

Perhaps if your head wasn't so far up Hannity's ass and blinded by all the right wing nut job B.S. that good ole' Murdoch PAYS for that they call news you would see your error in thinking.

The only traitor I see around here is YOU with all the contempt and hatred you have in your soul you fit the GOP perfectly well. If not of their thinking its by God unAmerican treason... What a bunch of crap.

I'm not on any bandwagon I happen to have not had a drink in over 6 years.

What tells it all about you is your lack of looking around and thinking about everyday working Americans.

Your complete contempt for Average American is very telling.

I have no idea who colmbs is nor do I care.
