Why don't they just provide the proper maintainance to their equipment?
Cut tree limbs away from lines, secure the lines properly and add towers between existing one to prevent excess stress in windy conditions...

Because that makes sense, and utility companies dont want to make cents, they want to make Dollars.

All the power lines should be moved underground, and they know it, they just dont want to spend money to convert it.
