Smith & Wesson Customer Service

It stinks. It is the worst ever. They make a good gun, but that's about all. I purchased a new S&W Bodyguard 380, and the laser sight was defective. I was told to return it to S&W customer service and i would receive a new one within 1 week. It has now been 3 weeks.
I sent it via first class mail in a padded mailer. Smith & Wesson received it 2 days later. It sat in a pile of mail for a week, then finally the new laser sight was sent to shipping 1-1/2 weeks ago. It was finally shipped out to me 4 days ago. I don't yet have it because S&W uses some kind of FedEx Smart Post. FedEx delivers it to my post office, and my post office delivers it to my mail box. I am told this takes 5-8 working days. Is this archaic?
There are a lot of other manufacturer's out there (Taurus, Ruger, Colt, etc.) that value their customers and take care of them fast & efficiently.
Think twice before purchasing Smith & Wesson. If you have a problem, there is no telling how long it will take to resolve it.

You know nothing, it's the best gun they make and the best trigger ever on a firearm.
