Salix Asks FDA to Review Colitis Drug
Salix Pharmaceuticals Ltd. said Monday it submitted an application to the Food and Drug Administration for marketing approval of its product granulated mesalamine to treat a type of colitis. via International Business Times

Why can't we who are on a limited income and have had Crohn's for years, get this medication without it costing us so much we cannot afford to take it. Why do industries who make this medication not want we who need it and the reason it was developed to not be able to afford it. This is another rip off of the American people who are sick with this disease.

The price of these UC drugs are out of control. Insurace won't even cover them like they use to. The drug companies are making millions while we struggle to pay for the medications we need. I'm glade generics are coming out. I have been on the same medication for years and have seen the price TRIPLE.
