Deer Park Tanger is a great disappointment. I drove out to Riverhead's Tanger twice this week. It's worth the ride. Better selection of stores-not interested in the food court in either locations. At Riverhead I can shop till I drop, at Deer Park the Christmas Tree Store is the hot spot. Deer Park Tanger has turned into a MISTAKE.

Wow--you are all a bunch of prissy Debbie-Downers. WTF did you all expect--yes it's a Tanger so it's 'considered' outlet shopping but give me a break, where and when have you really EVER gotten a REAL deal at outlets? The place is NICE, CLEAN and something to do/place to go in the DUMP that is Deer Park. Nice movies, new shops and a few restaurants. Be HAPPY it is there.
Well, those of us who live in Deer Park thank you for your oh so eloquent portrayal of our town. Thank you for taking time out of your ever so busy schedule to come slumming and do some shopping. I am so glad you at least found Tanger to your liking. Thank you for be so charitable as to spend some of your hard earned money in our humble little town. We do hope the locals didn't bother you too much while you shopped.

You call others Debbie Downers, yet you have no problem acting like a typical snob. Funny how you criticize others, yet have no problem trashing our town.

I agree that by it being open, in the winter it is too cold and windy to shop comfortably, add rain to the mix and it gets worse.
I rather go to the Huntington Mall where I don't have to run from shop to shop for cover.
That kind of design is better for warmer climates.
There is a food court now but not that great, and they did build some overhead protection after the complaints, but I don't see it being a crowd pleaser and business may diminish after a few years. Then they can turn it back into an Industrial Court, all at tax payers expense.
Kudos to the incompetent criminals that call themselves politians.

Oh yeah...sorry that Poopie Gal, ooops I meant Poodle Gal, had to travel so far to shop in Deer Park.
Maybe they should have built it in Melville so they can have the traffic and attract low class shoppers there instead.
Poppie should stay in Huntington Station where she belongs.

WELL, AREN'T YOU RUDE TO CALL DEER PARK A DUMP. HAPPENS TO BE A NICE MIDDLE-CLASS NEIGHBORHOOD WITH A DECENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, CHURCHES, ETC. CENTRALLY LOCATED TO MANY THINGS. A GOOD VALUE IN TODAY'S ECONOMY. MOST PEOPLE DO NOT UNDERSTAND THAT TANGER DID NOT MAKE A FOOD COURT ON PURPOSE SO AS NOT TO ENCOURAGE "LOITERERS" IF YOU GET MY DRIFT. THERE ARE SEVERAL NICE RESTAURANTS THERE NOW INCLUDING JOHNNY ROCKETS, CHIPOTLE, MILLER'S ALE HOUSE, AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT (FRANCHELLI'S OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT). 3D IMAX THEATRE, AND WHAT IS WRONG WITH HAVING ICE-SKATING? WHEN IS THE LAST TIME YOU TOOK YOUR KIDS SKATING OR DID IT YOURSELF??? IT'S STORES ARE SIMILAR TO OTHER TANGERS, WERE YOU EXPECTING DISNEY WORLD? AND MOST TANGERS ARE OPEN-AIR ALSO. SOME PEOPLE WILL NEVER BE HAPPY NO MATTER WHAT. FOR ME, I LOVE IT AND AM GLAD THEY BUILT IT.

yes they had shirts and shoes for 2 dollars last week and you have to remember that all the stores in Deer Park, aren't outlet stores. Childrens place being one of those, non outlet stores.
