A controversial practice that has opened up untold amounts of shale-born natural gas passed its first scientific study with a mostly clean bill of health. Full Story

6+billion people going to the bathroom in the woods will cause an environmental concern and impact ground/drinking water supplies

Wouldn't that produce methane gas, thus further destroying the ozone layer?

I'm askeered.

Surely there is some science guy in China, or India who will come up with Nucular Fusion....
End of problem.
As a life long oilfield hand, I am hoping that the new super colider will produce the 'god particle' and we will have cold fusion.

Also, how much energy could we save just by not having kids stand with the door open.
You damn kids! I'll give you something to cry about! And stay off my lawn!
The real question is,'How much energy could we save by not having kids?'.

Unless you have been in the Oil Patch...Unless you know 'what' your talking about...then please...if your really interested in the "Fracking" process, get educated on it. And "Just Saying" is right, over simplified for you non oil field hands, but correct none the less.
I'll just say this to keep it simple. Fracking (Fracturing a Formation) is not only 'safe' but necessary to recover maximum oil/gas. WE have done it forever and no one said anything... All of a suden, some one that knows nothing about the oil patch is up in arms. God help us.
How about this for a slogen for you tree hugers.
"Save a lizzard, starve a family".....
What's funny is, Oil, like Cannibas (Hemp) has 1000's of uses, but we only think of one -
Oil = Gas (fuel)
Cannibas = Pot (doppers,hippies, etc.)
Both are used, or could be used in 1000's of products and applications. But noooooo!
Thank you Mr Obama.......ta dah!
As it's raining today I will conclude by woking on my Spanish - Can't go fishing anyway. darn.
Buenos dias, Como cada on hoy es?
We are dealing with fanatical dolts,,,,,,,/ Brown shirts.
Vegatarians have turned into Vegans, animal lovers have turned into PETA freaks, hippies have turned into command economy Fascists and environmentalists are emotional reactionists that love the taste of boot leather.
Every socialist talking point about the evil conservatives has been duplicataited in the Obama era. Halliburton is still fillng government contracts, the Patriot Act is still in force, we have 50K troops in Iraq, Afganistan troop levels are up and the TSA is still molesting air travelers. Phu ck!
What is really painfull to watch, is the dolts reaction to lateral zonal isolation fracturing. The ignorant panty wetters are clueless about the process.
Enjoy being an expat, as Amreica is being turnred into a command economy nation of snivelers.
Bailing out soon my fellow cool arrow,

Very possibly yes

Many sewar treatment plants capture the produced methane. So just wanton bathrooms in the woods would increase atmospheric methane

But keeping teens ignorant about birth control and brainwashing them to be dead-set against abortion is about the only way small towns can keep any young people. Otherwise, they all move away.
