My family, friends, and just about anyone I see at the grocery store are wondering why this product is no longer available. THIS was THE BEST product for the base of a chili that I knew of and frankly, it was all I ever knew of since I grew up using this. My family and I have tried all of the products currently available on the market and they just do not hold a candle to R.B. Rice. I miss seeing that memorable red roll in the grocery store that would get me to thinking about a pot of simmering goodness that would be served on the table for all to enjoy. Please bring this product back for the faithful consumers that have enjoyed it for years and for the families of the future to enjoy as well.

Okay, it's established that everyone desires to have R B Rice's chili returned to the stores and that Sara Lee has been notified. Now what? Can it be returned to the public? This was an exceptional product and obviously the demand was great. Sara Lee please re-consider and if it is a possibility please publicize so we can plan accordingly.

It's Chili weather again. If we could get R B Rice Chili back, we would buy a case or 10 if nessessary. We still look and hope every fall when it gets chili time. Please make it again or just publish the recipe.

I can't believe this is no longer available. I would be willing to buy a case if I needed to. I've been eating this chili for the last 45 years and have not found anything even close to this. Please bring it back.

My dad fixed this chilli for years it was the only chilli I have ever known I went to buy a roll because I miss dad's chilli I couldn't believe it when I found out they no longer have the famous RED roll. My dad passed away 12 years ago I inherited the chilli pan now no chilli for his pan Please at least bring the roll back for our family. And during these hard times alot of families would enjoy its return it was a enexpensive meal that many enjoyed.
Shame on the person who made the decision to get rid of that red roll!

My family has also used this item for years. We just used the last of our stockpile yesterday at a family reunion. Everyone was amazed at the unique flavor of our mostcacioli, which has been a family secret for years. PLEASE bring it back and notify me if it happens!!!!!!!!!!

I have always have used r. b. rice chilli brick since I was old enough to cook chilli for myself. The recipe has been passed down from mother to daughter for as long as I could remember. Now it has been ripped out of my life. It felt as though we have lost a friend. Nothing else compares to it.

Please bring back the RB Rices chile roll. It's the best and I'll never be able to make that wonderful chile without it.
It's a wonderful product and I don't understand why RB Rices would ever stop making something that good.

I e-mailed them about this product shortly after they stopped selling their bricks. I asked them for a list of the ingredients so that I could at least make some for my personal use.

They refused. I figured there would be no harm in asking and I was not expecting them to. They did send me some coupons for RB rice and Sara Lee products. I threw them in the trash. If they can't make chili bricks because there was not enough profit in it for them, then I will not buy any of their other stuff.

RB Rice chili roll was the base for my chili recipe that I got from my mother. I have won first prize at chili suppers with this recipe and am VERY dissapointed with the Sara Lee company. If they aren't going to make it anymore why not sell the recipe for it to someone who will. Then we could have great chili again.

Have made chili with Rice Chili stick for 54 years. Even bought it and took a supply of chili sticks out of town to our son for years who could not buy it from his local grocery.....now it's gone! The other chili sticks on the market are terrible. Can't believe it didn't sell well - now I don't even look at Sara Lee products - even bread!

I've always used Rice chili seasoning in my chili. I've tried others, don't taste anything like that red roll. I didn't realize that they had stopped making it. Been looking in every store for years. At least now I know why I couldn't find it. Let me know if they ever start making that red roll that makes my chili taste so good!!

My mom always used the RB Rice Chili Roll where I grew up in St. Louis, MO. I thought it was just unavailable in CA, but it appears that it's just gone.

Please bring it back.

Please bring back your Rice's chili brick.
I have used it for years not only for chili, but to make Sloppy Joes. There isn't any thing out there that compares to the great taste of your product.
Please consider bringing it back!

Joyce,
You cannot get it anymore they discontinued selling it.

You can make Chili that is fairly close to it. What my wife has started doing is that she takes a can or two of Bush's Chili Beans, drains the liquid off, then mashes the chili beans up until they look kinda like mashed potatoes. She adds that to the chili and it gives it about the same 'body' as it had when we used Rice's chili bricks.

All their chili brick was was finely ground beef, mashed chili beans, beef tallow (fat) chili powder, and an unknown ingredient that made the mixture hold together enough to make a brick.
