they are wasting so much of our hard earned money, and still act like we who pay their salaries are the enemy.
What a scam.

What a scam.
It begins when you realize that you are not safe
Say, you buy the car...it gets damaged
You have the career...she takes your money
You raise the kids...she lies to them..they hate you
You obey the law...the criminal robs you
You risk you life for peace, the police fail you
You come to know non safety as a lifestyle
You stop making worldly plans..
You stop cleaning your house...you stop bathing regularly
You become disinterested in "yes we can"
You stop trying to bring peace to this world
You accept the terms of life
If war is the way, let it be
If young girls are sold into horror...accept it
If we fry the earth...
If we we build another Aushwitz
It's all part of lifes rich pattern
The mature person accepts the simple turnings of the earth
Ice cream happy treats and waterboarding denials
Who does not expect massive retaliation? WHO?
I am an American waiting for the BIG WAR to begin
I cannot imagine the mideast forgiving us anytime soon for Iraq
So I pity ANY person who decides to be a cop in this climate
I say, "more power to 'em"...but with a shrug.
I believe we are morally bankrupt as a culture...war on lies! A cop defends order.
What order do we have? Economically drafting simpletons to kill for profit?
What good god would allow such a people to continue??
As a defender of the current order...cops, who may be nice people, must act in atrocious ways. Remember Chicago and the beatings. Remember that during Jim Crow...thousands of Americans received permanent head and back injuries from police.
Thousands of Americans became permanently disabled as a direct result of police beatngs.

I cannot even look a policeperson without getting mad. What they did to my dad in Oakland in 1971. No one in my family will ever be able to trust police after what they did. Being a victim of police brutality leaves you unable to trust. I do not believe John whatever ( the black congressman who is famous for being a victim) when he says he now believes in "the system". He has just been scared into saying it. Like a jew in Nazi Germany saying the Nazis are good...he HAS TO. He has been FREAKED OUT PSYCHOLOGICALLY.
In the black community where I live in MC...nobody believes Obama will stop the war. He is seen as another puppet for the warmongers...out to steal our young for his war.
Obama will clamp the police down on us just as fast as ANY other president...nobody doubts it.
And he will clamp his police down , too.
To me...the police are like an occupying force. They do not provide decent law enforcement...they do not deter crime. They are here to hassle certain people...we know who we are.
Our hope is that Obama will overdo the war thing and we will someday have freedom...after "we the people"...lose the war and START OVER.
The system is unfixable
The only answer is to begin again
The only way to begin again is to LOSE a war
Think about it

ugh - so you think by percentage there are more rotten cops than there are rotten people? YIKES.
I work with disabled adults and I have to call the cops every month to HELP. And they do. I use to work with abused kids and I called the cops daily - and they HELPED. I am not saying that they are perfect protectors of justice but they are a huge help here in the Twin Cities.

I agree with Hello and Dove Rosey needs to learn to do her job better or get out of the profession. You should not ever have to call the police.
Yes, by percentage there are more rotten cops than rotten people and that is why they get into that profession. The Twin Cities Police are not a huge help. They sexually harassed someone I know back in the 1980s.
The crime rate in the Twin Cities does not justify such a large building nor the number of personnel they have nor their overly inflated budget. They need to cut all of that in half and give the money to libraries and education instead.
Why not just buy the office complex and keep them over there? It would be less expensive than the new building they doubled in price after the election. It was supposed to cost $10 million and the IJ reported it as now costing $20 million.

Geez, lighten up. All this "rotten cop" krap by
self professed, perpetual "victims". They need a new building to replace the outdated/temporary one, so BUILD it already. I'm getting Hives from all the sour grapes on this thread so far.

If the article said "The Canal Alliance" is getting a new building built, there wouldn't be so much as a peep. But cops needing a better/bigger building? Perish the thought, huh? Gawd, we CAN'T have that, can we. Sarcasm intended.

I used to skateboard down Prince Royal..slolom style. The cops never hassled me! I played little league...the cops were coaches. I had a dishwasher job at 13...the cops hassled me ONCE in 2 years riding from Greenbrae Lanes to Prince Royal. They just warned me that it was dangerous....like I cared at 13. At 13...danger is FUN.
The CM PD saved my brothers life by ticketting the holy %$#@ out of him. He had 70+ moving violations by his 18th birthday....with NO drugs or alcohol!!!
He just really liked to go fast
He would accelerate going down the hill...on a BIG motorcycle...in the RAIN.
The CMPD are the only reason that my brother is alive.
He still hates all cops and says so frequently....
It all evens out....

It is being located near the Harley Davidson dealership (that should be interesting...) where San Clemente Drive turns into Paradise Drive.

The new facility will be built exactly where the old one sits today. Its at the turn-in to Piper Park. The IJ reporter has it wrong...across from Redwood is the marsh...

If TCPA moved to the College they would have to put up an even nicer temporary building than the MCSO's just to make the MCCDPD's building look even more like a shack.
They should knock down the two that are already there and make one public safety building. Then we would really see the bond money at work.
