Now let's see if we can get this straight!!!

By Roger Freedman

I'm a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight...(hope I'm
not
offending anyone)

* If you grow up in Hawaii, and are raised by your grandparents, you're
"exotic, different."

* If you grow up in Alaska eating mooseburgers, you're a quintessential
American story.

* If your name is Barack, you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

* If you name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you're a maverick.

* If you graduate from Harvard law School, you are unstable.

* If you attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you're
well
grounded.

* If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the
first
black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration
drive
that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional
Law
professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with
over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate's Health and
Human
Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate
representing a
state of 13 million people
while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs,
Environment
and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any
real
leadership experience.

* If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city
council
and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20
months as
the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you're qualified
to
become the country's second highest ranking executive.

* If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising
2
beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real
Christian.

* If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your
disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're a
Christian.

* If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the
proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

* If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no
other
option in sex education in your state's school system, while your unwed
teen
daughter ends up pregnant and if you try to make victimized women pay
for
their own rape kits, you're very responsible.

* If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a
prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city
community,
then gave that up to raise a family, your family's values don't
represent
America's.

* If you're husband is nicknamed "First Dude", with at least one DWI
conviction and no college education, who didn't register to vote until
age
25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of
Alaska
from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.

OK, much clearer now.

NOBAMA!NOBAMA!NOBAMA! The only thing he ever has done is organize people towards the goal of taking everything we have worked hard for and earned and saved for our retirement and to pass on to our children if there is anything left---to give it to people who do not work or save or are here illegally. His wife was never proud of our country.McCain almost died for this great nation.

Nope. Attacking her on:

her foreign policy experience: I can see Russia from my house.

Her executive experience: I make rape victims pay for their rape kits.

Her fiscal experience: I think 22 million dollars for a hockey rink is a good idea.

Her voice is annoying.

The world's description of her is hilarious!

Hey Eunick..you sure sound alot like Charlie Rangel..mabey your him..or one of his offspring or diciples of the new religion.

UNBELIEVABLE: Rep. Rangel Calls Palin 'Disabled'
Embattled Politician: It's Laughable That GOP VP Nominee Bases Foreign Policy On Being Able To See Russia
Republicans Infuriated; Rep. King Blasts Rangel
Reporting
Marcia Kramer NEW YORK (CBS) ― Already under fire for his tax troubles, Manhattan Congressman Charles Rangel really put his foot in his mouth on Friday.

In a CBS 2 HD exclusive interview, Rep. Rangel called Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin "disabled."

The question was simple: Why are the Democrats so afraid of Palin and her popularity?

The answer was astonishing.

"You got to be kind to the disabled," Rangel said.

That's right. The chairman of the powerful House Ways & Means Committee called Palin disabled -- even when CBS 2 HD called him on it.

CBS 2 HD: "You got to be kind to the disabled?"

Rangel: "Yes."

CBS 2 HD: "She's disabled?"

Rangel: "There's no question about it politically. It's a nightmare to think that a person's foreign policy is based on their ability to look at Russia from where they live."

Later Friday, Rangel issued a statement saying "disabled" wasn't the word he meant to use.

"Governor Palin is an obviously healthy person who in no way fits the description of disabled. I meant to say then, and I am saying now, that she entered the campaign with a disadvantage in the area of foreign policy," Rangel said in a statement.

"Any inference that my words were in any connected to her son, Trig, who was born with Down syndrome, is a real stretch -- and, I would have to think -- a way to make political points out of my poor choice of words," he added.

Republicans think Rangel's comments are insulting as well as shocking.

"Charlie Rangel's comments are clearly disgraceful," Rep. Peter King, R-Long Island, said. "This is just another liberal Democrat who can't accept an independent woman running for president."

King, who is co-chair of the McCain-Palin campaign in New York, watched Rangel's comments with CBS 2 HD. He was particularly upset because Palin's 4-month-old son, Trig, is disabled. He has Down syndrome.

"We should be sensitive to her or any woman who has a child or family member who has any affliction at all," King said. "And so to use the word disabled in the context of a female candidate for vice president who has a child who is disabled really is wrong. Charlie owes her and the entire disabled community and apology."

Advocates for the disabled are also upset.

"It makes me feel as if he's trying to put her down, trying to say she's not good for the presidency or the vice presidency," said Michael Imperiale of Disabled In Action Of Metropolitan N.Y.

"A disabled president ran this country. He was disabled. His name was Roosevelt."

A spokesman for the McCain-Palin campaign also piled on, saying that this kind of rhetoric has no place in politics.

Yes indeed..you sound just like that..have a nice day.

BHO attained office in Illinois through the fault of others, not his own efforts or any appealing ideas. He is an "accidental" senator whose record bears this out. Outrageous anti-life votes while in the Illinois chamber and NOTHING while in DC except a loooong campaign.

In Chicago nothing gets done except what is allowed by the Democrat machine. BHO happily tied into the machine and associated with the most ideologically wacky politicians, associates, pastors, fellow board members to be found anywhere, let alone Chicago. Now, he happily throws them all under the bus out of political expediency.

How can a guy who one day proclaims his deep 20 year involvement in a church, where he "grew" under the mentorship of his friend and pastor, the next day throw that same pastor under that same bus? This is not good evidence of integrity. The whole church-thing becomes a charade, carried out, again, for political expediency, to woo the Evangelicals and peel off a few votes.

"Community organizer"? A garbageman is a "sanitation engineer" and Ayers (the SDS bomber) is a "activist". I know one thing; hearing the candidates describe their activities in defense of critical questioning, where they would be at their best, there is NO WAY the self proclaimed life experiences of BHO and McCain can be characterized in any way except BHO is a ZERO and McCain is a HERO. McCain literally and figuratively has fought for us and our country, served it in government for years before BHO even knew what the Weather Underground was.

Harvard graduates people each year that are not capable and would not want to be president of the USU. "State U" is the same. But, in this context, the only reason Harvard would prepare a better president than State U is elitism. Harvard is the most elite school in the country, but that does not make it the only place that can educate future presidents.

HERO or zero? Please vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin for US president and vice president.

Hero? Ha! Real heroes don't need to advertise it like MccAin does.

Being a POW doesn't make someone qualified to be president. MCain used it so much, he turned it into a joke like Rudy 9/11 Giuliani.

McCain is no Hero.

Give me a break.....

I'd take her over Shrillery any lifetime.

If Cindy Mc C was 10 years younger, still a hot team.

Toss in the Bush twins and it's double the pleasure.

5 kids or not, Sarah is no dog.

She has a very lucky husband, to boot.

Republican women are so much more attractive than
the rented mules of the Democrat leaning.

Hide.....it's Helen Thomas!
