Don't let the media DICTATE what's important to Americans

1 IT'S THE ECONOMY
2 IT'S JOBS
3.IT'S OUR DEPENDENCE ON FOREIGN ENERGY
4.IT'S THE COST OF GAS
5.IT'S THE HIGH COST OF FOOD

not this silly bickering.

Sounds like a bunch of sour pusses who need to blame EVERYONE else except the current administration for failing at just about everything. (economy, lack of jobs, high gas prices, Gitmo still open, soldiers dying in foreign lands, etc.)

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus are accusing former Rep. Artur Davis of “transparent opportunism” ahead of his speech to the Republican National Convention, scheduled for this evening.

Coming four years after the African-American and former Democrat served as a co-chairman of President Barack Obama’s campaign, Davis’ conversion to the GOP has clearly stung his former colleagues, who sounded off in an open letter released to the media this morning. In 2008, Davis seconded Obama’s nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

The letter, signed by 14 CBC members, accuses Davis of distorting Obama’s record and flip-flopping on “core principles you once held dear.”

Why isn't there a Congressional White Caucus?

These guys don't even want Black Republicans to be a member, they are hardly an example of what the Democrat party tries to spin of an All Inclusive party. They aren't, march in lock step with the party policy or shut up and go away.

Rep. Davis just points out that despite what they like to spin, the Democrat party definitely does NOT have a 100% lock on the Black vote. Why Blacks still vote in large numbers for Democrats is beyond me, what have they done for them in the past 50 years? Dem. controlled cities are still crime ridden, poor and stuck with sub-par schools, still stuck on welfare and still 90% black. Heck this administration even cancelled the school voucher system in DC that enabled Black kids to get out of the ghetto and into private schools, where they excelled. Really, if anyone on here has an answer as to why this continued loyalty to a party that talks a good game but doesn't deliver, let me know.

Is it true, our guy, Paul Ryan, lived on Social Security when his dad died? What if there's no more Social Security and an increase in rape babies?

It's the economy, jobs, dependence on foreign energy, high cost of food, high cost of jobs!

President Obama is a visionary. America's best days are behind us and we must adapt to the stark realities we face.
Capitalism only worked when the population raised their children to succeed. It will be hard for some but over time Americans will adjust to being Less Than.

Listen guys, I AGREE with YOU and Paul Ryan. Government is TOO BIG, now anyway, but we have to admit that it got big in part because of guys like Paul Ryan who milked the government teat.

Paul Ryan: The Guy Trying to Obliterate Social Security Used His Dad’s Social Security Benefits to Fund His Own College Education

If you don’t believe (or realize yet) that Paul Ryan’s end goal is to murder Social Security (and Medicare, of course) through death by a thousand cuts (literally), read the easy-to-understand details. In short, the Ryan plan would:

• slash benefits for middle-class seniors and people with disabilities;

• reform Social Security entirely through benefit cuts;

• increase out-of-pocket health care costs (“by $4,300 a year for nearly 1 million individuals ages 65 and 66 — even with the subsidies and Medicaid expansion of the Affordable Care Act, which the Ryan Budget repeals”;

• privatize Social Security at the taxpayer’s expense, which ultimately “would deprive Social Security of revenue, the federal government would have to transfer $1.2 trillion to finance traditional Social Security for those already in or near retirement.”
