Note; to BP & President Obama deep sea oil wells should never be drilled straight down at 90 degrees to the sea bed; they should always be 'slant drilled' so that when the drill head breaks through to significant explosive gases, of which the the lightest is pure hydrogen followed by methane/hydrocarbons! then the drill sleeving has to be vented, so that the natural gas does not rise up to surface under the rig platform, as was the case at 'piper alpha', and the horizon 'gulf' platform rig!

note; any new platform rig should be slant drilled by rules of industrial Statute Law health & safety! and the distance angle of offset should be as much as possible; example 10 to 20 degrees! and the rig platform sould be at least 1,000 metres away from the sea bed, well head' so allowing all the men to work at a safe distance from emerging explosive flammable gases! if they dont do this then it amounts to murder!
