The senate is actually going to do something. WOWEE!!!!! The laziest bunch of 100 on earth. They should pay the taxpayers to let them use the name od Senators. Look at their work record of Senate Votes. They would have been fired long if they were on a cmapny payroll.

If only partisan reTHUGlicans weren't wasting time with unrelated, partisan, anti-worker amendments like this one:

"One unrelated, politically charged proposal by Republican Marco Rubio of Florida would allow businesses to give merit-based raises and bonuses to union workers without first getting the consent of labor leaders.

Democrats assert Republicans are waging war on unions, while supporters of Rubio's proposal and others like it say some unions are too powerful and have, in certain cases, infringed on the rights of business."

And ReTHUGs want this lying ass Rubio to be their VP candidate!?? LOL!

A male, Cuban Palin might make Romney look better, but wouldn't be good for the country...:)

Obama's administration is the worst. Our economy has never been this weak for so extended a period since the great depression. He is responsible for hardship amongst farmers and anybody else in the private sector. He is a plague on our economy.

So you're saying the UNION laid her off, or the school district? You're still not being clear, not to mention how far off-topic you are.

The Unions own the Democratic Party. If not for the Unions Obama might have been a decent President and the Democratic Party might still be worthy of American citizen trust and support. How sad for our children. How sad for us all.

The distrct had to cut 400 jobs. To do so the union rules of " Last hired..first fired " were followed.

To had laid off an incompetant teacher would of violated union rules.

As protecting the lazy and incompetant is the unions main priority.

Biden is in LA today ginning up the public sector union greed for more and more and more of their neighbors hard earned money. Biden promises that our children won't stand a prayer of a chance. He promises that Democratic politicians will continue overpromising and underfunding the Pension Tsunami which will end in a fiscal disaster that will make insolvent Greece look like a stunning financial success.

The Senate bill as written would cut $4 billion from the food stamp program but Republicans want larger reductions.

The Senate also would cut crop subsidies by $13 billion over 10 years and environmental conservation by $6 billion.

but that's not enough right?

One unrelated, politically charged proposal by Republican Marco Rubio of Florida would allow businesses to give merit-based raises and bonuses to union workers without first getting the consent of labor leaders.

unrelated?
didn't the GOP pledge to not attach unrelated items to "must-pass" legislation during the 2010 election?
yeah, they sure did.

Yes, God forbid that individuals be recognized for merit and receive a raise based on performance. If the collective doesn't get a raise, no one should.

Wow... just wow!

The mentality of 'progressives' is frighteningly similar to that of the lemming.

what does an individual getting a raise based on merit have to do with the Farm Bill?
.
nothing.
.
In the 2010 campaign, Republicans vowed to end the long congressional tradition of allowing members to attach unrelated bills onto "must-pass" legislation.

Hee Hee Hee ...Obama said he was going to be President for all the people too.........Nothing could be further from the truth.

Serious minded Americans all better praise Rubio for merit bases raises and bonuses. You don't want to have unbridled Union Greed destroy other States like it destroyed California do you? Remember, it is our kids and grand kids who will be enslaved to pay through the noses for outlandish union bonanzas for bloated numbers of bureaucrats Union were good until they weren't.

We are going to need more food stamps now that Obama no longer enforces immigration laws.

. What you say is true. The CTA is one of California's most powerful unions and they own Jerry Brown. This union opposes any productivity in the schools and protects bad teachers including those involved in criminal acts.

latest projections are that food stamp spending will climb to over 770 billion (3 quarters of a trillion) over the next ten years. Yhat puts this program on par with medicare.
