Jobless claims point to steady labor market

There are 33 comments on the www.reuters.com story from Oct 4, 2012, titled Jobless claims point to steady labor market. In it, www.reuters.com reports that:

The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits rose only slightly last week after a big drop the week before, a hopeful sign the job market is still on the mend.

Other data on Thursday showed a sharp drop in new orders for U.S. factory goods, although orders outside the transportation sector rose for a second straight month, which should calm fears of a rapid loss of momentum in factory activity.

Soooo, the big claim for Obama is that when he took over the US was hemorrhaging 800,000 jobs a month, actually in December 2008 the loss was 545,000 for that month, so that part of the Obama claim is a lie, but Obama can lose over 1.2 million a month and that's called progress? No wonder Obama couldn't say much last night.

When the numbers come out tomorrw, Romney's 15 min of fame from his debate performace will be over. People will be reminded the economy is continuing to slowly improve and Romney's plan would take us back to another recession/depression.

I remember the Obama-Hillary debates and everyone said the same thing every time Hillary beat him in every debate. Yet Obama's the President and Hillary's Sec of State.

I'll give the GOPasaurs their 15 min. It's likely the last boost they get.

As Jack Welch says Obama cannot win a debate but he can cook the books Chicago style. Only 800,000 people disappeared off the wanting work rolls while adding 114,000 jobs so about 685,000 folks went pffft.

Where did they go ?

Oh well , stuff like that is to expected from the Obamaites.

d Jack Welch knows about cooking books.

Welch is more heartless than Romney, I wonder if Romney promised him Dept. of Labor?

Ask the BLS. They use the identical formula to calculate the unemployment rate as they did under Shrub.

These jobs numbers are a total LIE......the jobs "created" are part-time, low pay, "throw-away" jobs that will suddenly "disappear" right after the election and the first of the year.(Been there, done that) On a personal note, I wanted to work for about 6 more years, in the Professional capacity that I have worked all my life to obtain through hard work and education ...... and then retire. Instead I took early retirement.....Millions upon millions of people are in the same boat that are my age. I am not sickly, nor was I planning to "give up" looking for work, however that plight has been foisted upon me by our wonderful GOOBERMINT. The jobs number is a TOTAL LIE, the GOOBERMINT just stopped counting people such as myself. I want to work, but there isn't a job over minimum wage in the state of Texas......the reason I know that is that my neighbors all have those types of jobs.......where $9.00 an hour, part time (slinging burgers and fries)is considered a very HIGH wage no matter what your education level or experience.....whoooppppieee.. .go and try to pay bills on that amount of money. In my neighborhood, everyone I know is getting food stamps. You people are being HOODWINKED by the GOOBERMINT machine. Companies are now being FORCED to hold back on layoffs right now just to Obama can get re-elected. Good Luck to y'all.......I'm droppin' out....Right after the first of the year......LOOK OUT.
