Even the big unix names are making big time mistakes and annoyances. Sun and HP have both started charging for update and fixes to their big iron systems. It used to be that you pulled down patches and fixed issues with no other requirement then knowing what you needed, now you need to have support contracts on the machines to access these patches. Kind of a shame, we started paving over our HP_UX and other HP servers with Ubuntu and so far they are working very well. Microsoft 2008 has started getting so security tight that our developers were spending half their time on permissions.

Linux is becoming primary operating system inspite of its high deplyment cost over Windows OS because of its security as a result it is highly preferred for mission-critical workloads. New users are ready to adopt Lnix over Unix and Windows and existing Windows users are planning to migrate to Linux OS.

Well, more companies are starting to realise that windows is a steaming pile, and that for servers a CLI is all they really need.
