Owner of horses involved in accident says he may face lawsuit

Elizabeth Carle, the driver who struck two horses on Griffin Road last month, feels lucky to be alive.
Stuart McLees, the owner of the horses, doesn't feel so lucky.
The accident killed one of his horses and injured the other. McLees figured the driver's insurance company owed him $3,700 to cover his vet bill and compensate him for the loss of his horse.
Instead Carle's insurance company, Nationwide, has accused him of negligence and threatened to sue him for damages, he said.
'They said they're going to come after me and that I will probably have to replace the woman's car,' McLees said. Read more
