After 1st recall, train-maker sent tainted toys as bonus gifts
#1 Oct 9, 2007
The American consumer has long demanded cheaper products. The Mattels and Wal-Marts are designing them cheap and, hence, they are being made by low bidders somewhere in the Far East. The solution is not short-term. It's years of "how low can you go" that we need to stay away from. Measures in Congress do not change our shopping habits. We as consumers need to demand better and safer products from our retailers. The giant manufacturers and retailers are certainly not looking out for us.
