My son loves Thomas and I don't know how to explain to him what happen and why his trains have to be tested he states.

Lady, what is wrong with you?. If you are affraid that taking away a toy from your son is gonna traumatize him, i suggest you introduce him to the outside world, have him socialize with other kids his age, breathe fresh air.
I understand you dont have big problems, so you stress about retarded things like explaining your son his toy's got to go. Buy him a transformer or a power ranger. and get a hobby for shrist sake.
