If the unemployment rate rose that means that the economy is not getting better.
You can try to fudge the numbers, point to one person getting hired, but the facts are, unemployment rose!
The current administrations' policies suck the life out of the economy. They are bassackwards and obviously are not working. Yet, liberal journalist try like crazy to make it sound good. The only thing this author left out was the obligitory blaming of GW Bush.

I don't get it. I thought the stickittous package would fix this. We were never to see the high side of 8% unemployment. Lest we forget, the administration woman that made that prediction quit.

I hope all the people who voted for Obama can now see where his interests lie. He can't talk his way out the unemployment problem. I wonder how he's going to talk his way out of his belief to have 1:1 chit chats with Iran's psycho leader who's now chanting "Death to America" on the streets. Once again: The goal of the Muslims is a Pan Islamic state of the world. And Obama is supporting this ideology because he has no backbone. He's supporting Al Qaeda.

Our country is going to the dogs. Unemployment, illegal immigration, crime and drugs are out of control and only getting worse each day. We have the greedy polititians to thank for this. There will be riots in the streets and bloodshed if our government doesn't wake up and get control of this situation. I'm prepared and waiting for the new civil war that is unavoidable. God bless America!

Still full employment for our buddies from south of the border, though. How long are Americans, desperate for work, going to tolerate the tidal wave of job stealing Mexicans? I keep hearing that the Mexicans are stealing jobs Americans do not want. This is true, nobody in their right mind WANTS these jobs. This include the job stealing Mexicans. The point is, these are jobs the Americans workers NEED. This is about NEED not want.

Hello, we are buying all these goodies Made in China. We always want more, and cheaper. We asked for it, and got it.

The Germans also handed over many jobs to Asian countries, BUT they also had a plan. And they had Daimler-Benz and SIEMENS.

Scott Brown, Co-author of Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association Economic Outlook, December 2006->>

"The housing correction still has a way to go, but should end in 2007."

"Corporate profit growth will moderate to a more sustainable level in late 2006 and 2007; the strongest profit growth is expected in the technology sector."

"Corporate bond credit spreads are expected to widen modestly."

Yeah, let's expect the opposite of whatever this guy says.

Are you seriously worried about radical muslims conquering the United States? Just how will this occur? Wave after wave of amphibious invasion? That's absurd. A war with Iran is not what you want -- it's what a faction of Israelis want us to do for them. Break your programming.

It sounds like you want an authoritarian government. You've played directly into the hands of those who have ORCHESTRATED the chaos you have described. Don't fall for this sort of dialectic. And a civil war will ensure we get a fascist government.

And people -- stop watching/listening to GLENN BECK. He is the modern day Judas/Benedict Arnold. He is very skilled at mixing truth with disinformation, while providing no concrete solutions. He works for the social engineers.

Who's talking about a war with Iran? It'll be right here on our own soil. Their beliefs are so derisive of our freedoms that they'll use these freedoms against us. F##k that.

It is somewhat depressing to hear that Corporate America has added 67,000 jobs, yet the final tally of unemployment rate is up. This just goes to show us that the threat of double dip recession is looming over us. With the high unemployment rate, that means that people have no ability to buy anything discretionary. With the high unemployment, you can expect the housing market to be soft because no one can afford to trade their homes for a bigger and better one. With high unemployment, you can expect the number of bankruptcy filing to be high since everyone just keep accumulating debt instead of paying it down. Yes, we can see that, and who will take corrective actions?

Or are we just waiting for the "economy" to improve.

The bankers are doing great, why would they want to change it?
