Reform Is Not Enough: The Federal Government Needs a Complete Makeover

There are 5 comments on the www.theatlantic.com story from Aug 8, 2012, titled Reform Is Not Enough: The Federal Government Needs a Complete Makeover. In it, www.theatlantic.com reports that:

Behavior that would seem grotesque to most Americans doesn't raise an eyebrow inside the Beltway. Only radical change can fix the problem.

American government is a deviant subculture. Its leaders stand on soapboxes and polarize the public by pointing fingers while secretly doing the bidding of special interests. Many public employees plod through life with their noses in rule books, indifferent to the actual needs of the public and unaccountable to anyone.

The professionals who interact with government -- lawyers and lobbyists -- make sure every issue is viewed through the blinders of a particular interest, not through the broader lens of the common good. Government is almost completely isolated from the public it supposedly serves.

Howard offers many good insights in this article giving many of the problems with American Government in the LAST 30 YEARS. What he doesn't do is put government in the context of the increase in the size and vaiablility of the country and world (population, economy etc) particularly since 1970 and the us and them conflict inherent in being human.

Please read the article and consider the context before condeming 'them' as the source of all problems.

Nor does he adequately address the ever increasing role of the huge, multi-national corporations on our politics, our economy, and our privacy.

Still, the article gives up a lot of food for thought.

Finally someone who recognizes the American Holocaust Perpetraitors.

To survive the American Holocaust you must resist your unnatural godass (second class complacency). god being satan's immaculate deception, grand OLE deceit, good OLE deception, group of demons, government of deceivers, governing oppressive dis ease (mental illness spread like Typhoid Mary) and a$$ being American Stockholm Syndrome (war can be declared on you without your permission / love for your abuser ie. Jaycee Lee Dugard story). Deceivers deceiver. god - government of deceivers. YHVH is pronounced YA. Thank YHVH, YHVH welcome, YHVH bless, YHVH way. There is no substitute.

YHVH suspends mercy in response to god (government of deceivers) suspension of inalienable rights (life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness) in the American Holocaust.

Not many comments on this article, I guess most don't like to actually think about government, just repeat what they are told.

Corporate (business) influence has been on the grow since the 1880s, mostly winning privilage (even when they seem to loose). Consider the following quote: "There is a place for government investment when time horizons are too long, risks too high, and rewards too uncertain to attract private capital." Whose policy is that, Obama's or Romney's?

The United States of America is a corporation. The government agencies are its subsidiaries. It's share holders are Congress and SCOTUS. To them law abiding citizens are just pigeons.
