I have been with this company for over 5 years. Will be 6 in february. I have always knew that Rite Aid pharmacy technicians are terribly under paid. However, I recently found out that a technician that has been employed with us for 3 months is only making a little less than me, and will be taking her technician exam which will put her even higher. She started out making $8.25. I after almost 6 years of devotion to this company am making $9.16. I have heard of others in the area Rite Aids making so much more. A lady just left the company making around $12 a hour. I have addressed this situation with my pharmacy manager and PDM. They stated nothing could be done. I do not believe this is fair. I was curios if anyone else has had issues with Rite Aid in this issue.

Your use of English ( and basic spelling ) is so atrocious I fear for the Public......and deem your pay- grade as correct based on the above. ALAS.

Actually Rite Aid as a whole has always failed to pay anything remotely competitive to the industry average. They are quite cheap and are so knowingly. They view employees as expendable and treat them accordingly.

You are very right!!! They do pay WAY under average and am learning they really do not care... It is a job at least and a jumping point for me. With my years as an exa for wags i am better trained and i also am finishing my masters so hopefully soon the job market will get better and i can make what i am worth...

Rite Aid employees are very underpaid and made to feel replaceable. I left wags because where we moved there are none and went to rite aid. I had full intentions of trying to make a career but so far in the year i have been here i do not see any chances for advancement nor do i see any upper management that cares to help you advance. Its a job for now anyway i guess. The only way i can try to justify the pay difference is the training and responsibilities. As an EXA i have the same experience and training as a rite aid DM and since i am not a DM and the managers do not have even 1/4 of the responsibilities as a wags manager i guess it works out.

Part of your training is done in the pharmacy. Then you have CBTs and a couple days of classes. Who is making $15 ,or more. Have worked for Rite Aid for 20 yrs. Am head tech. Do most of the work and get $12.36/hr.

Yeah.. I'm thinking that's hot air. 10 years in as lead tech. 350+ a day numbers. The only reason I make over $10 an hour is because I started out as an Eckerd employee. They actually gave raises based on performance. Last decent raise that I had was more than 5 years ago. But I value my coworkers and my customers, as well as my 5 minute commute too much to leave.

16 years just got to see 10 dollars an hour. Few ever see 12 dollars or more per hour.

I have been with the company for 18 years, started out in the much better Eckerd Pharmacy. Have been nationally certified for 11 years and passed without issue. Now i am being forced to become Rite Aide certified through a computer test. Have 3 opportunities to take it. Failed twice by only a couple of %. Told if i fail one more time my job is history.Total BS. They care zip about their techs.
