I'm glad I read this. I drove by at about 2:30 and thought it was real. Saw a car flipped over with a kid laying out the driver window with his arm covered in blood!

It's Harcourt. Not HARDCOURT. Since The Herald is the newspaper of record for Monterey County, maybe getting street names correct would enhance your credibility.

Yeah I drove by that today and thought it was clearly weird that there would be that many emergency vehicles out when I didnt see a crash site..(vehicles etc). But this is good and real exciting that we have this happening because hopefully it will get through to these teenagers who thing they are super heros or have the GOD complex... and maybe to even adults who have the same persona

I am so upset. I drove past this scene today and thought it was a real accident. I have been sick over it all evening, thinking it was a real crash and that I saw two people lying dead on the ground. I am relieved to know that it wasn't a real crash, but am upset that I spent the whole afternoon and evening thinking I saw two dead people lying in the road. Myself and my friends have been upset all evening. Other vehicles on the road were slamming on their brakes nearly causing REAL accidents because we didn't know that this was a staged accident. There were no signs, no cameramen, etc., to indicate that this was staged.

YES THERE WERE SIGNS. I saw a HUGE sign that said "FIRE DEPARTMENT TRAINING AHEAD" You may be the perfect audience for a Distracted Driver Infomercial.

Hey not Amused, If you don't tailgate then you might be prepared for the eventual roadway hazard. That's the idea of the training. Get It swifty!

There was a large sign that said "FIRE DEPARTMENT TRAINING". Maybe the truck with the large boom mic, camera and all the people holding video equipment wasn't enough. If you would just pay attention to the road and your driving you wouldn't be so worried about other things. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR DRIVING!!!!!!!!!! STOP RUBBERNECKING!!!!!!!!!!
