Lars Naevdal writes a typical Pebble Beach letter, safe from the real world. Apparently 9-11 never happened for him, just like for so many in this area.

Joyce Ensley, you make a good point. The actions of human garbage such as you described are why I rarely, if ever attend public events. Just too much human garbage to put up with.

Weed-smoking chicks dancing at a rock 'n roll concert? Oh the horror!

Sounds like someone needs to limit her live music event attendance to the Carmel Bach Fest.

In what way did 9/11 change this "brotherly love" ideal? Are we to believe that 9/11 was proof that equality and fairness are just trivialities?

Only in Monterey are people not allowed to dance - ushers set up a dance area on the edges - like designated "free speech zones" far from a political event - yes, stick with the Bach Festival.

That right there is the problem. Labeling people and cultures and religions. You have no idea if the letter writer lost anyone on September 11th. Why do you think it's appropriate to be so dismissive to a person who is merely giving his opinion?

Please provide evidence that those who live within the boundaries of Pebble Beach are 'safe from the real world' and that September 11th 'never happened to him.' Thank you.
