What are the two law firms? The story mentions two law firms one in Monterey and in San Francisco, but the story does not mention what law firms are accused of possibly profiting from these poor creditors. I feel badly for those that invested with Cedar Funding. The people that ran Cedar Funding and all the enabling so-called professionals that helped them run their alleged scam enterprise should be held to a very high standard and if there is something criminal there, go after them.

The law firms probably had to charge triple since they had to "learn" something about real estate. There's good real estate Lawyers here in Monterey . Why do they hire out of town lawyers for this ? Sounds like the trustee doesn't understand real estate either.
