"Optimistic" regarding Holiday sales doesn't necessarily mean cash in the till at the end of the day...Unfortunately, California's unemployment rate is still in double digits and the economy doesn't really show any major signs of improving in the near future.

I sincerely hope all the small merchants on the Peninsula have a "killer" Season, but none of them should be relying on their Holiday sales to keep them out of bankruptcy next year.
