If only the Christine Kays of this country did a little homework... yes, your health has gone up 20% but isn't that better than the 39% increase they tried and failed at because the Obama administration stopped them? And again with the tax "increases"... these were tax CUTS that helped put us in this mess. Obama wants to keep tax CUTS for the middle class and return taxes to the pre Bush years because as we all can see now, they don't do anything for anybody except for those at the top.

Turn off FOX "news"

Oh... Willoughby... where will PG get the million $ to join the county system?

Geoffrey W.M.P. Lopes da Silva. To prevent the spread of HIV, keep your pants on? An even more simplistic statement than those you call simplistic. Unfortunately, the Catholic Church, of which I am a participating member, is sadly out of step with the times. Today, life, community and living in this society is so complicated that one statement doesn't cover very much, if anything. As many people as there are in the world, there is an equal number of opinions. Giving ones opinion is good. You may change many minds. But to make such a simplist statement as the be all and end all to the HIV problem is somewhat arrogant on your part. Obviously, you keep yourself cloistered in the past, along with the rest of the Catholic Church.

Mr. Geoffrey W.M.P. Lopes da Silva writes:
"To prevent the spread of HIV, keep your pants on."
I must protest this as unforgivably callous and short sighted.
I can only assume Mr. da Silva is ignorant of those poor souls infected by blood transfusions, or by rape.
One can only hope when Mr. da Silva needs the services of blood specialists, he comes away with no problems. Perhaps the ultra conservatives will some day realize the world turns with or without their permission. Probably not.
