There is a meeting on Monte Vista School on Thursday at 6:30 PM at 700 Pacific Street in Monterey.
I saw the posting at Colton school, but do not know the district's position. A lot a rumors at the school, but I do not know what is true.
Does any one know if Bay View got the charter status from MPUSD last night?
The district and the BVA hearing is not till December 13 th and then the district will revue the charter. If the district turns it down the school goes to the Monterey County Board of Education for a review. The whole process takes many months so the granting of the charter may not be known till March.

What would be the difference between MPUSD approving the charter or the County? Someone did mention to me that even if MPUSD refuses to approve it there is still a chance to go thru the county.

The truth keeps getting in the way. This forum got pretty intense before the November election. It was divided between the "The money if for the Kids" group and the "Marilyn Shepherd is not trust worthy" group. We are seeing the things said over and over again during the pre election period come true before our eyes. We were call zealots. The remodling is almost done and more is planned for the District Office. The raises the Admin gave themselves are retro active to last July and then they get another bump this coming July 1. These are retirembent building, arrogant, self centered individuals who have no business in public schools.

Steve,
Couldn't have said it better myself. The board lied to get parents and older kids to vote. They still lie and our kids are going to continue to pay the price. We all saw the future of MPUSD years ago. Send shepherd back to Fresno and recall the board. They have failed and we need to send them a message loud and clear!
