The wealthy get wealthier and the wage earner poorer and poorer ($7-12/hr). The USA/local/state Gov'ts tells us folks to die through their actions as we are now burdens on society. Wages do not increase as all utilities increase their inflated costs and healthcare is for the wealthy only now.

What percentage of Progress energys income goes to share holders, executives, wage earners, equipment, energy producing coal, and finally new green technology? A lot of BS was tossed about by the liberal left during the recent fuel shortage. Notice how not a word is said now that the mindless masses have forgotten about the problem?

Don't listen to yona. He is a domestic terrorist that threatened the life of the president elect during the election. Since then he has come up with a web of lies to make us believe that he is not evil. Don't be fooled, he did threaten the life of another human being.

Do you masturbate as you say this over and over. You seem to be getting a real thrill from it. Get over it. There is a real possibility that Obama could get snuffed out, same holds true with any president or anyone for that matter. Yona has not threatened anyone.

Radio talking show host Matt Mittan today said that the 10 % increase in rates will benefit electricity costumers in Virginia and Texas. What is the truth, why the increase?

The Democrats in power should do some quick explaining, my predictions next election if they increase taxes and play power games the democrats will lose all their seats in 2012 election, it will be the biggest landslide in American history in favor of the Republicans.

That would be a huge departure from history. Every election year we elect and reelect Democrats to legislative and executive branches of NC government. Immediately after a wave of new taxes are passed and continue until 6 months before the next election. North Carolinians Democrat and Republican alike have short memories since Democrats alone couldn't account for the overwhelming Democrat presence in Raliegh.

Both the right and left master-bate too much. The country is heading south and you people argue about silly things. Wake up and take back the country from the special interest before it's too late and we become a third world country or worse another world war II Germany.

Why is there an increase when fuel prices have dropped dramatically?

So I ask a difficult question. How do you deregulate industry energy, cable and then explain increased laws to regulate the pace at which the businesses manipulate the market.

I am the poster child for capitalism but even I know a completely unregulated industry will always fall to the lowest common denominator for proffit over people.

That Reagan/Bush "trickle down" economic theory isn't working very well, is it? The rich keep getting richer and thats all they care about.

You are a domestic terrorist.

You should ask your republican idol Ted Stevens, he has the answers for you. He knows more about how to manipulate federal money and the energy companies. In a typical republican outcome though, you end up with 7 felonies and loose your reelection bid.

Trickle down economics is a myth. It has never worked as promised. I'm sure some ignorant republican neo-conservative will come on here and make excuses for why it didn't work, but the truth is it is just a fantasy. I tell you what is not a myth, and that is how our current president has destroyed our country by his spending spree on wars and tax breaks. How can you wage a war and not pay for it? that is just asinine.

No way. The time for deregulation has passed. You republicans have shown how bad things get when we deregulate. Take your credit default swaps and go home neocon trash. There is a new administration on the way that will not stand for the screwing of the middle class again.

Consider that calling a person a domestic terrorist without proof is considered slander legally. You may want to rethink your approach especially since it has only added to peoples responses to me.

As for your actual comment I thought you made a fair if not petty post.

Do you ever do any research? Democrats in the mid 90s fought for the deregulation without conditions for the mortgage and lending industries. Republicans are on record warning against it and urging for regulation. Democrats are on Youtube shouting down Republicans and industry experts to force through the Clinton Democrat agenda. Now we have the housing collapse directly traced to the Clinton administration. Surprise the infallable Democrats are as corrupt as any Republican.

"The rich get richer." In what society on earth, ever, have the rich not gotten richer?
Lot's of things are going to go up in price. President-elect Obama's "cap and trade" policy will raise the cost of electricity.
