Bert Daday, who spent 37 years with PPL and serves a variety of government and community-service organizations, is retiring from the Allentown energy company on May 1. Daday, 79, of Lower Saucon Township, said he will remain active in the community and will continue to work with PPL on select projects.

must be nice he had the opportunity to actually retire from PPL. For all of those who were so close to retirement at PPL and other companies only to be tossed out with the trash in the name of the current economic situations. For all of those who think company loyalty is still a strong characteristic within the corporate world, you are living in a pipe dream.

this guy used the ratepayers money for years to promote his own personal ego and agenda. We will all be better off when he moves on.

Shame on PPL for letting this guy run wild for so long.

This guy was a political hack whose only job was as a "fixer" with local politicians and a "smoother" by doling out contributions from PPL to local charities to make it look good with public.

He contributed very little with respect to value added actitives that made PPL successful, but yet worked PPL for a pockeful of cash for eseentially a do nothing, self promoting job.

Good riddance.

I am sure the man was a nice man, however PP&l reputation with the public the last few years has been less than stellar, with the rate increase they have been pushing for, he wasnt to busy lately
