The Portland/olumbia foot bridge is NOT located in the Delaware Water Gap NRA as stated in the above asrticle. The writer needs to get the facts correct.

I am all for saving the environment. One way to save the grid is for companies to consider making their primary shift at night. Any volunteers to go 2nd shift????......I am waiting???

This is another prime example as to why no jobs are created by BOTH parties. We would much see more clowns at cute kiddie events performing for the onlookers in the stands wondering why we're in the problem were in. Decades more of the same old same old

The power lines in NJ are already overloaded with all the new development (Especially the shore areas). If you don’t want the power line then don’t complain when you’re out of power.

WHERE were these people when the idea was presented for public comment a few years ago? There were several routes presented at the time. WE THE PEOPLE already decided. Move on.

God forbid a company make money. We need jobs and companies need to make money for the economy to do well. AND we need energy. Most of the "green" energy ideas either don't suit this area or frankly cost more than they save anyhow. Time to get back to basics and common sense. These people can give up their energy then for those that want it. Let them use candles.

These mountain people need to direct their concern to the depression we have entered. be concerned with your schoolboards
catering to special interests. Get out and vote on Nov 2. These are the issues that are of relevance and not Eagles games

ASccording to studies, if we don't rebuild our aging power supply lines, we will indeed have brown and black outs when demand is high. It is in need of repair just as our aging infrastructure. It has to go in some direction from point a to point b. Come up with a better suggestion for the energy suppliers if you don't like the one they have.

All this is about is the peron who started this fight wants to get rich and the sierra club is laughing all the way to the bank this project will create about 2000 jobs, it is needed I work doing underground cable replacements most of the electric lines in NJ are going bad and we are replacing them all the time. wake up people you all fought to stop the walmart in pen argyl that mall would have created alot of jobs in the area. but it was fought and they won. If we dont stop fighting big development we will never get out of the hole we are in. and the power lines will create nesting sites for all kinds of eagles, falcons, osprey. not to mention the deer and other wildlife that will used the power line area for food and cover. you people need to stop the bull*hi& and let the lines be built you have already had the park shut down an old road we used to hunt the area why it is all about money and who ever is involved in the fight collects it and gets rich wake up retards.

The writer also needs to learn how to write: "...other ways to get energy to the east coast then bringing it from..." It's THAN not then!

After reading this confusing post, with punctuation equal to that of the skills of a 2nd grader, I wonder just who is the retard. God help anyone who is served by his underground cable replacements......
